The Douglas MacArthur PTA is a community of parents, teachers, and staff working together to support our students and school. Through fundraising, events, and volunteer programs, we help fund classroom needs, field trips, and family activities that enrich learning and build a strong, connected community.โ

A Message
from your
PTA President
Welcome back Eagles! โโ Whether this is your first or last year, or somewhere in the middle – I am so excited to help welcome our Eagle community to school! My name is Heather Gammel, and I am this year’s returning PTA President. Our PTA has an amazing group of volunteers who help create a fantastic community where students and adults can come together through fun, new, and exciting programs and events. โโ
This year, we are bringing back the Reflections Art Program as well as Meet the Masters, Clay Day, Book Fair, and more! We will be changing up our Fall Event to a fun movie night with games, activities, and vendors. We will continue to have a variety of Dine-Out opportunities as well as some other new FUNdraising ideas. All support provided is unbelievably helpful to bring all these programs and events to our school. โโ
We are always looking for volunteers for our programs and events, which require only your time and dedication. If your schedule doesn’t allow it, we also accept financial donations. Please make sure you are an active and paid member of the PTA to help support our school as well as provide you with voting rights.โโ If you are not currently following our socials (Instagram, Facebook, Peachjar), please do so by scanning the codes below! โ

We are excited to welcome you to a new school year at MacArthur and hope that every family will join and support our amazing PTA!
Over the past year, we have had the privilege of seeing firsthand the incredible ways our PTA enriches the lives of our students, families, and staff. From organizing memorable events to providing resources that directly support classrooms, the impact of our PTA is felt in every part of our campus. โโ
What makes this possible is not only the dedication of the PTA Board Members but also the energy and commitment of every PTA Association Member and volunteer who gives their time. Whether through big projects or small, on campus or from home, your involvement helps create the supportive, thriving school community our students deserve.
